Rustic Catskill Mountain Wedding, Ashokan Dreams B&B
Today we would like to share with you a rustic Catskill Mountain wedding. Such an amazing setting, with a fabulously creative bride who went to a lot of work with her DIY details! Sasha Felix Photography and Betsi Ewing Studio were behind the lens capturing all the moments!
“Having grown up in the Catskills I always envisioned a rustic Catskill wedding. Something very representative of how I was raised. Good food, good music and good company. After moving away to Florida, where lo and behold I met and fell in love with Ryan, I couldn’t wait for the day to introduce him to old Woodstock.
“Rustic, mix & match antique was the theme and from there our summer weekends consisted of drives all over the little towns in search of our décor. We found everything from antlers to antique table cloths, old tins and many more treasures. I had some old pictures of our family’s wedding photo’s also displayed to add to the antique look. We wanted to show pictures of us over the years so we made a collage in an old shabby window pane.
“We also made our cupcake stands with old candle holders and cool antique plates. with some trial and error and really strong glue it absolutely worked. We also had a photo booth area with a little Fuji Polaroid camera and little props from Etsy. We hung old-fashioned frames and hung them with twine from the pavilion. With the help of my lovely sister, mom and friends the vision came alive.”
