Vintage Lovebird Theme Wedding
Happy Monday! We had a busy weekend with a super fun college graduation party of one of our dear friends! So to keep the fun going we are going to share a beautiful vintage, black and white wedding that looked likes loads of fun! Not only is this wedding vintage it also has beautiful DIY elements, all of which were captured by Tim and Jess.
Bride’s Comments: “For our wedding we wanted to included vintage and DIY/handmade items and we also wanted to make our wedding a family affair because that is pretty much how we roll. It started with scouring flea markets, estates sales, and the antique shop where I work to find beautiful white and aqua pottery to use for the succulent and flower center pieces. A love bird theme surfaced with the purchase of vintage salt and pepper shakers that became our cake topper.
“Other vintage items procured along the way were the window panes used for the reception seating chart, metal plant stands, a wash stand used as an ice chest for water, aqua wicker chairs for the bride and groom, and a vintage metal table for the cake. But the vintage items were only half of our story, the other half was all of the hand made details made by the brides aunt, the groom and his father, the mother of the groom, the mother of the bride, and the bride.
“The mother of the brides quilting background was exhibited in the lovely fabric birds and the quilt squares to be constructed into a guestbook quilt. The mother of the bride also made the brides veil by using her veil as a template and vintage rhinestone jewelry as embellishments.”
