Whimsical Garden Party Wedding
We are so excited to end this week with an absolutely gorgeous wedding from Simply Rosie. Kelli is a stylist, so all the details are lovely and many are handmade–she and her mom sewed her beautiful headpiece! Plus there’s the fact that these Rej and Kelli are both pretty easy on the eyes. Seriously, they could be models!
From Kelli: “My inspiration for my wedding was whimsical garden party. I work as a stylist so planning and creating everything for our wedding was so much fun for me. Most of my wedding was DIY… I made everything from the floral table runners & bunting, to the kite tails on the large balloons, to the confetti flags, to the large sparkly L O V E sign! I wanted my wedding to be unique so I tried my best to do everything I could on my own.”
“My bridesmaids and I got ready at my condo and then went and got pictures done together, while Rej and his groomsmen went to Hunter & Gunn barber shop for old school shaves, then went for a beer at a pub.”
“I had searched everywhere for a veil or headpiece I liked but couldn’t find anything or get it in time, so my mom & I sewed the one I wore on my wedding day! For bridesmaid gifts I wanted to give my favorite girls something special and unique, I made them each a friendship bracelet (www.sugarblossomdesign.com), then gave them each a different bracelet to wear on the wedding day (I wanted all our bracelets to look vintage and feminine) and then I gave them each a beautiful robe from Plum Pretty Sugar.”
As my placeholders at the table I had bought paper straws and then punched out paper hearts to make them 3D and then put each guests name on one. My seating chart was neat too, I had picked up these tin hearts at a market in Texas (the hearts were called the tin mans heart.. so cute) & painted the table number on to them and hung the guests names from paper hearts on each one, then attached each heart to an old french door.
“Advice I might have for future brides would be to make you wedding reflect who you are. Choose colours and themes that are you, you don’t have to choose what’s in the wedding magazines, change it to make it your own. It will make you wedding day that much more special.”
“My favorite moment of the wedding was our first dance. We had it out on the terrace (it was a perfect warm summer night) and all the guests lit sparklers, it felt so magical!”

Meredith
Despite her dreamy wedding blogger lifestyle, Meredith's day job is running ClassicVeils.com and a full-time mom to an active toddler. If she could, Meredith would spend her days taking cruises, helping animals in need, and watching Big Brother!

Where did the letters that spell out L O V E come from?

Does anyone know the brand of the bridesmaid’s dresses?
Kara, just noticing your question. They were from Urban Outfitters 🙂
