Comments from Photographer: “Sometimes a dramatic seasonal photo session is needed. I took some fun autumn engagement pictures of this amazing couple a while back, and decided to do some winter inspiration with them, at they just recently held their real wedding at the end of 2015.
“I spoke with an event planner, and we came up with an artistic idea with bold, contrasting colors. The venue is both a contemporary art museum, and a chic boutique hotel. We set up two different ideas for unique wedding colors- one is bright and metallic, and the other is more subdued with cooler winter tones.
“If you live in a big city, it’s easy to bring that same sense of style into your wedding theme. Downtown Durham is a pretty lively scene, so this new venue seemed like the perfect spot to take pictures of Anthony and Shana. We love the different colors and textures this venue allowed us to play with. Yet, our favorite part of this inspiration shoot may be the wedding cake. The metallic gold flecks paired against the navy base is truly unique. A show stopping cake is sure to win points with the guests.”
