Got a sweet tooth? I sure do after looking at this super fun Downton Abbey meets Alice and Wonderland wedding. This was an intimate formal wedding with a touch of whimsy, followed by an afternoon tea reception at the historic Rhodes Hall in Atlanta, Gerogia. The bride was inspired by the colors of the French macaroons and tied them in beautifully with the guest favors and décor. This amazing wedding was captured by Meet The Burks photography and the minute I saw the staircase and chandelier I knew it was going to be good!
***Tip from this wedding*** Having an earlier wedding and offering your guest either brunch, lunch, or afternoon tea is a great way to cute down on costs.
How did you meet? “We met at the Eclipse de Luna Spanish and Brazilian Tapas Bar; Hugo literally picked me up after I fell on the dance floor :)”
How did he propose? “I had driven home alone through tornado like weather from East Tennessee (where I had been to see family) and I was putting my things away. He kindof cornered me in our walk-in closet and asked me. Funny story, it’s even more funny because I was changing into pajamas at the time and my pants were like half-on and half-off!”
What makes you as a couple unique or unusual? “I’m American and he’s Portuguese.”
