It seems this is North Carolina’s week here on the blog! As a followup to the wonderful style shoot from earlier in the week, here is a neat backyard farm wedding with an astounding number of sunflowers. That’s fine by us, we simply love the bright and rustic look of sunflowers tucked in cowboy boot centerpieces, sunflower bouquets, and sunflowers on the wedding cake!
The couple (Brant and Alexis) traveled from their home in Indiana to get married at the bride’s parents’ home in Greenville, NC.
Looking for a cheerful invitation for your sunflower themed wedding? Check out our list here.
This to look for
- For the processional, Alexis walked out of her parents’ back door, down the steps, and down the aisle!
- Cowboy boot centerpiece decor along with bridesmaids in cowgirl boots! We’ve got more wedding boot goodness for you to browse.

Here are a few interesting notes on the wedding:
- Alexis comes from a farming family. Her parents are farmers and she married Brant, a farmer.
- Alexis and the girls prepared at her parents’ house, the ceremony location. Brant and the guys prepared next door at her brother’s house.
- If you look carefully at some, but not all, of the koozies, you can see a goat on the bottom. It was Alexis’ job to feed the goats when she was growing up and she and her new husband are goat farmers.
- There were two ring bearers, three sign holders, and one flower girl. All of them were the couple’s nieces and nephews.
- For the processional, Alexis walked out of her parents’ back door, down the steps, and down the aisle.
- Brant’s mother is a cake designer and she baked the wedding cake.
