When we saw this anniversary we fell in love — head over heels in love! We love that the photographer, Juliane Berry, is the granddaughter of this special couple who has been married for 65 years!! Here are a few words from Juliane Berry:
In celebration of my grandparents’ 65th wedding anniversary, my super talented Aunt Therese set up this 1940s vintage tea on her vineyard in California. Almost everything you see in the photos was handmade by an aunt, including the yummy desserts. My grandparents, George and Eleanore, have been happily married for 65 years. They truly are such an inspiration!
My grandmother’s secrets to a lifelong successful marriage, “Always have faith in one another and never go to bed angry.” My grandmother recently gave my beautiful cousin Kelly her wedding dress, so Kelly wore the dress and veil as well as my grandmother’s vintage necklace for a few photos.
Pin“My grandmother’s vintage beaded headpiece was used as a table decoration. My grandmother’s wedding dress and necklace were used as a decoration. The fabric hanger was decorated with dried roses and ribbon. The china is the same set that was used at my grandparents’ wedding breakfast. The quilt was handmade by my great grandmother (my grandmother’s mother).“
