Wedding Story
Photographer’s Comments: “Barn weddings are often thought of as vintage or rustic. Having a barn wedding doesn’t mean you have to go rustic or forgo an industrial style wedding! In this shoot our kind venue, the Sweeney Barn graciously opened their doors- barn doors to us.
“Here, rugged meets feminine , wood meets metal, Industrial meets minimalist. This industrial style mixes contemporary design as the wooden beam ceilings showcase amazing crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
“The decor was simplistic using glass topped wine barrels with black metal high top stools. The centerpieces were glass globes with fairy lights and coin sized eucalyptus circling around. Metallic accents with a variety of textured pieces were the goal for the sweetheart table settings. It was a delightful grouping of metal chargers, stoneware and marble plates and different kinds of gray linens, topped with white crystal geodes.
“The couples bar had eye-catching sleek blown glass vases in modern style. Each vase featured bold greenery with matching blue to the brides bouquet of Iris and thistle. It was accompanied by black tapered iron candlesticks and black tapered candles.
“The cake was a four tier round white cake with one layer in a pentagon shape. The four tiers had gold geometric shapes that agreed with the live green succulents at the base of the cake.
“In keeping with the industrial feel, the bouquet was simplistic yet a variety of beautiful flowers to catch an eye. The blue Thistles, blue Iris, Lavender, blue Corn Flower, blue Hyacinth, white Peonys, white Ranunculus, Tweeting, and the beautiful soft velvety frosted sage green leaves of the Dusty Miller were among the countless flowers in this bouquet.
“Our bride looked sleek and sophisticated when she wore a simple strapless, satin fit and flair wedding gown which featured a beaded satin ribbon sash and back button detail. She was frosted with a large crystal necklace, graduated dangle drop earrings and matching bracelet. Her look is only completed by her sexy and dramatic Latte Satin jeweled peep-toe pumps.
“Our groom went for a modern look wearing a white fitted dress shirt and slim-fit steel gray vest with matching trousers. His necktie was a two-tone gray silk square print. Our groom donned a fresh look with his undercut and twisted bun. His luxury leather and alligator dress shoes completed his polished and modern look.
“And did I mention that renovated silo?!
“A beautiful black wrought-iron spiral staircase inside the textured concrete walls had modern touches with simple light fixtures, mirrors and lit metal hurricane lanterns. It made a bold and stunning setting for freezing time with a picture.”
