In Roatan, a visit to Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth Hangout is a real treat. Rescued animals live in comfort here; some have been rescued from the mainland as orphans or after deforestation pushed them from their home. Most have been rescued from owners who had them as pets, but could not care for such wild animals.

The sloths are the main attraction, for good reason! Yet there are also other rescued animals here you can learn more about and help to support. After visiting the sloths and monkeys, meander (slowly) next door to Sherman Arch’s Iguana & Marine Park to meet the local lizard residents.
