Event Planner’s Comments: “Fairleigh and Mitchell wanted to create a memorable wedding day to share with closest ones. They didn’t like the idea of a 100-person wedding so they decided to host their wedding far away from home only with their immediate families. This brought them halfway across the world from Australia to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
“Among all the venue options that we offered them, they liked the classy Belmond Hotel Caruso in Ravello most. The views, the romantic atmosphere of the olive grove in the Wagner Gardens and the exceptional level of service conquered them instantly. When we met them on location the day before their wedding, they were absolutely sure they took the best decision with this venue.
“Fairleigh’s day started in her room in the beautiful Villa Amore where the best local hairstylist, Gerardo from Total Hair Design and Nicole Storey, one of the most talented makeup artists in the region created her natural yet stunning look. Breathtaking views from the terrace of the bride’s room allowed our photographer Sergey Usik to capture a number of dreamy shots.
“The first look took place in the Giardini Principessa di Piemonte next to the hotel where the ceremony and reception were planned. Mitchell and Fairleigh were overwhelmed with emotions and couldn’t hold their tears when they first saw each other that day. Our cinematographer, Valerio Magliano did a superb job capturing this moment.
“Fairleigh wanted her wedding flowers to look natural and to blend in with the beauty of the town and the views seamlessly. Her bridal bouquet was composed of locally-grown ranunculus, roses, and peonies as well as mixed eucalyptus branches. A variety of flowers sourced from a local farm near Ravello highlighted the ceremony and the long imperial table centerpiece placed on lace handmade on Burano island in Venice. A variety of hanging lights above the table and assorted candles around the centerpiece created a cozy atmosphere that everybody enjoyed.
“The typical local duo playing in the posteggia napolitana style lifted the spirits of our guests so much that everybody continued the evening in the famous piano bar of Hotel Caruso until the first lights of the dawn. It was a night to remember!”
