“Sarah and Zach had an intimate, dream wedding at The Inn at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont. There were under 40 guests.
The forecast kept everyone on their toes until the last minute and we all wondered if their ceremony would end up being outdoors. But the rain cleared just in time and it ended up being a magical outdoor ceremony overlooking Lake Champlain.
I had the best time walking around Shelburne Farms to take portraits of them. Shelburne Farms has so many incredible photo opportunities and backdrops for gorgeous environmental wedding portraits. And while we walked, I loved hearing the story of how Sarah and Zach had met at a Christmas party in Rhode Island, where they still live, and how their very first date was on New Year’s Eve.
Sarah, a Shelburne native, had the most incredible crushed red velvet heels, and it was only by sheer coincidence that I paired them on top of a green velvet chair. But hearing that their love story took off during the holidays made that pairing of Christmas colors so much more significant.”
