We’re kicking this week off with a unique and intimate wedding captured by the talented Texas-based duo Bend the Light Photography. The bride and groom planned lots of lovely details that really reflected their quirky personalities. We think their wedding was super cute, and we’re pretty sure that you all will agree!
PinWe adore this unique invitation, which tells Amanda and Steven’s love story. Here’s what it says:
December 11, 2009:
Amanda packs up and leaves little old Fairfield, Texas
for New York City to pursue her high-fashion dreams.
January 27, 2010
While shopping for cashews one day in Brooklyn, Steven strikes up a chat
with the girl holding a bag of pecans. He loves her Texas twang.
May 16, 2010
On their first date, Amanda wonders is Steven wears his hair
in a pompadour every day (he does). Steven wonders if there is a law
that prohibits vegetarians from dating meat-eaters (there isn’t).
July 3, 2010
After asking her twice, Steven officially proposes to Amanda in
Washington Square Park. Amanda officially says yes.
April 9, 2011
Vowing to always shop for groceries together,
the happy couple ties the knot in San Antonio.

PinWe love the fact that Amanda didn’t go with a typical wedding dress. Instead, she put together a gorgeous skirt-and-top ensemble from J.Crew. Such a great idea–cost effective, and something she can wear again!
PinIf you read the information on their invitation, you know Steven always wears his hair in a pompadour.

PinAmanda and Steven’s wedding was extremely intimate–a total of five wedding guests and three instrumentalists!

PinThe table setting was gorgeous! Vintage china, brightly colored linens, and fabulous placecards, not to mention tons of beautiful flowers in mercury glass and milkglass vases.

PinOne of our favorite details is definitely this Dr. Pepper cart–so super cute!

PinWe love the colorful bendy straws and the silhouette flags that match their invitations.

PinCongratulations Amanda and Steven! Your wedding was so fun and inspiring!
