Wedding Story & Gallery

We really love this wedding. Megan and Art have fabulous style and we are in love with her dress!

Here is what Megan said about her special day:

First and foremost, we wanted our wedding to be extremely personal and relaxed. We also wanted everyone to have a great time! To help make our day so personal, we chose a style that was completely us. We wanted to include our love of food and nature in all the details. We did as much DIY as we could and spent over a year scouring estate sales and ‘junk’ stores for antique china, flatware and all things vintage and rustic. My Mom, Grandmother and I put together all the centerpieces. To keep with the tone of the wedding, I selected wildflowers from a flower market and we put them together the morning before the wedding.”

My favorite part of the day was definitely the ceremony. We each wrote our own vows and it was the Best. Decision. Ever. I’ll never forget how loved I felt in that moment. It was also important to us to involve our family and friends in the ceremony. They stood and took an affirmation to always support us as a couple. It was so special! At the reception, my very talented cousin and bridesmaid sang our first dance song, which we shared with family and friends.

If I have any advice you haven’t already heard it would be to select vendors you trust completely. Find people with similar style so when the day comes, you can relax knowing everything will be perfect. Also, don’t get caught up in the traditions that you don’t feel strongly about. Forget about what people ‘expect’ at a wedding and do what feels right to you!
