Whimsical Vancouver Styled Wedding Shoot

A harbor side wedding in the vibrant Granville Island Market of Vancouver, Canada does not need much in the way of decor. Love & Lavender should know, we spent many days exploring the artisan shops of Granville Island Market in Vancouver when we lived there. We love the pastel color palette intertwined in this whimsical Vancouver styled wedding shoot – the macaroons, table setting, balloons, and wedding cake are fun, colorful, and on-budget for any wedding.

Remarks from the photographer: “This shoot was inspired by the amazing city view from Bridges Restaurant in Granville Island, Vancouver. From a city theme it evolved to incorporate a little whimsy and a little modern and a lot of true love.

“We loved the vibrant color palette completed with stationery by I’ll Know It When I See It, flowers by Granville Island Florist, 36 inch balloons from Confetti and Co, DIY pinwheels and the magenta pink table runners from Pedersen’s Event Rentals. The mouth watering and colorful french macaroons from Soirette and beautiful pinwheel cake by Cake by Annie added a beautiful display affront the Vancouver skyline.

“The eco-friendly dresses from Pure Magnolia perfectly complimented the whimsy of the day and the modern of the evening while the handmade paper jewels from 31bits completed the Brides evening wear. The hangers by Candi were an extra touch added into the details.

“The yellow bow tie and pocket square from Baracos + Brand finished off the grooms attire, while Jade Ward from Lure Salon did a gorgeous top bun on the bride and of course Jasmine Hoffman’s make up artistry was flawless. What a pleasure it was to work with such a talented team on such a colorful collaboration.”
