From the photographer: “I loved Tanner and April’s engagement story. Tanner is a youth pastor and April helps out at their weekly meetings. If you’ve ever attended a youth group you know it can be high energy with fun games. This particular week Tanner asked that April come up and participate. The game was blindfolding your partner and having them feel an item and have to name it. The team who guessed the most items won. Each pairing went, and when it was April’s turn she was given her engagement ring to feel. She said when she took off her blindfold Tanner was down on one knee holding the ring – the auditorium erupted. I love that they incorporated their youth kids as well as made it a public engagement.
“From the looks of it, April and Tanner had a picturesque first meeting. Tanner would say that the hospital doors opened one day and a light shone down on April’s face. Both working in the hospital environment, it didn’t take long for word to get around that these two would be a perfect match. Tanner, being a youth pastor decided to incorporate his youth into proposing to April and the rest is history. They’re getting married this fall.”
