On the Westcoast of Canada, on the outskirts of West Vancouver city, romance meets the raw beauty of nature in all its forms. A outdoor wedding ceremony at Whytecliff Park provides a sea view, varied terrain, and a typical Pacific Northwest feel to exchange vows.
Having lived in this area of the world for many years, I sense the black and white photo of the bride traversing the rocky shoreline encompasses the emotion of her day.
A light breeze pushes her hair out of her face, whispering secrets about the stark nature of this land. She looks out over the sea vista into an unknown future full of promise, life, and happiness together with her new partner.
I love looking at real weddings where I have visited the location, and trying to interpret the emotions wrapped up in that one wedding day!
What to Watch For:
- Pass around a basket of Wilton Love Knot Bubble Wands to your guests for an outdoor beach ceremony and add a whimsical touch.
- The burlap cutlery holders with white lace are so fitting for a rustic wedding reception
- Burlap: burlap bow ties, a baby in a burlap lined wagon, and burlap cutlery holders … one wonders if too much burlap was used throughout the decor. We don’t think so.
- Beach: rocky pebbles and stones allow for great photo opportunities
- Beauty: the bride in her stunning gown, the adorable kids in wedding attire (the bow tie and hat combination is so cute!), and the inspiring landscape of the Pacific Northwest.
