Photographer’s Remarks
“Tamara and Ed are one of the most gracious couples! Their care for others and their love for friends and family was evident since I first met Tamara and later both Tamara and Ed for their engagement session. They had the difficult task of planning a wedding while living in Texas, and so Rixey Manor was the perfect choice for them since Isadora and Ben (proprietors) work hard to help make everything happen.
The Proposal
“On their one year anniversary, Ed picked Tamara up in a minivan, the same model of minivan she had rented (which they laughed over that night), a dozen roses, and stuffed fox (another inside joke. He took her to Samuel Beckett’s to celebrate. She wasn’t expecting him to propose, but when dessert arrived she was surprised with a cake (chocolate with butter crème frosting…her favorite).
“Written on the cake were the words, ‘Marry me?’ alongside a stunning ring! She said yes and thus began the journey to marriage.
The Wedding Day
“I had the joy of photographing Tamara’s bridal portraits the week before the wedding and so when the day came, she was pretty much already a professional model. Tamara was a STUNNING bride in her Allure dress from Ava Laurenne Bride. Her bouquet from Good Earth Flowers was the perfect match for her beautiful and feminine blue and yellow color scheme.
“She and Ed filled their day with the most sentimental details including gifts to their bridal party and Ed’s daughters, favors from My Secret Stash and a fantastic and delicious meal from Purple Onion Catering, who also provided their beautiful cake.
“The entire day was full of joy and love and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of it. I am so honored to have served them and their families!”
“Tamara and Ed chose to work with vendors familiar with Rixey Manor to also ensure things would run smoothly and take pressure off the couple. They were so relaxed and ready to have a wonderful day when the day finally came!”
