As a gemstone collector in my youth, I truly appreciate the creative energy it took to transform a seemingly obscure hobby (gemstones) and capture an entire style and wedding theme — love it! As today’s feature shows, even rare earth rocks and minerals can become something elegant and special for your big day.

Their Story
Photographer’s Remarks
“Gathering inspiration from the rare minerals and rocks of South Dakota, we created this styled shoot. Rose quartz is the state mineral of South Dakota, so we designed the shoot around the rose quartz jewelry the bride wore and styled the table with several varieties of rocks, colors, and textures.
“We wanted to keep the feel light and airy with big pops of colors. The blush Justin Alexander wedding dress was a fun touch to match the colors of the shoot.
“Lots of florals accented the tables and ceremony area. This was a very fun styled shoot with lots of natural details and fun elements. Hope you enjoy!”
