There are certain weddings that will always stick in your memory. Nicoletta and Daniel’s will be one of those weddingsfor sure! Normally, we meet the couple well before their big day. We do their engagement session, have a few face-to-face meetings together to coordinate, and keep in close contact until the big day arrives. This is our traditional way to doing photography, but Nicoletta and Daniel are far from traditional in the best way possible. We had been in contact with these two via email and never actually met them face-to-face before their big day since they live in California! The most amazing part was since they were so easy to work with, we felt like we had known them for years.
Going along the pattern of non-traditional, Nicoletta and Danial really showed their family-centered values and their love for intimate moments. The wedding was held in the backyard of Nicoletta’s parents’ house and we have to admit, we did not picture this backyard fitting 80 people. It was a stunning Italian influenced home and yard and it was more than enough space for both their wedding ceremony and the reception.
There were tons of special moments that had everyone laughing and crying throughout the whole day. One of the most special parts was the ceremony led and officiated by Daniel’s brother. They really had their family involved as much as possible.
After the ceremony, Nicoletta knew the place to go to make these them really comfortable for their pictures. Since they were covered in incredible tattoos and spent as many hours as possible on the back of a Harley motorcycle, Nicoletta surprised Daniel and decided to go to the Harley Davidson dealership to capture them in their most natural element. It worked! We also took some photos in Caulfeild Park around the beautiful natural scenery of the Northwest shore and Vancouver. The images of this Backyard Wedding Vancouver are incredible and the meaning behind each photo just adds to the memory of this special wedding day. They ended the day with an intimate reception in the backyard with toasts, speeches, laughter, and tears. It
