Lace Wedding Dresses: Vintage & Modern Styles

Once you’ve set your heart on a lace wedding dress, finding exactly the right style is the trickiest part. Perhaps you’d like a dress made entirely of lace or maybe subtle accents are your preference. Here we’ll take a look at a few of the most favoured lace types to help you decide.

Chantilly Lace

Whether on a structured column dress or floaty boho gown, Chantilly lace is an eternally elegant choice. Recognisable by its light finish, the detailed contrasts between light and shade on each floral motif will create the perfect overlay or sleeves for your wedding gown.

Guipure Lace

Guipure lace is most known for its mesh-less construction and how each motif is connected by plaits or bars of thread as opposed to a layer of netting. This results in a considerably heavier finish yet it creates the perfect overlay for your dress.

Embroidered Lace

This lace is usually created atop a layer of soft tulle. Once the lace motifs, floral or otherwise, have been created the lace can then be adorned with crystals, pearls or another type of beading to finish. This is ideal for brides who love a little extra sparkle!

How To Bustle Lace Overlay Wedding Dresses

So, you’ve chosen the perfect dress and you’re thinking of bustles. Firstly, what a bustle even is and what it does. Secondly, how on earth you fasten a bustle ensuring it still looks beautiful. Lastly if you even need one for your chosen gown?! Let’s take a look…

What is a bustle?

A bustle is a feature created on your dress to gather up an extended train or extra fabric that glides on the floor. This is perfect for your post-ceremony look to greet your guests and dance the night away!

The two types of bustle most frequently used are the French/under bustle and the American/over bustle.

Under Bustle – Is the more voluminous option which tucks underneath the skirt creating tidy folds of one, two or three.

Over Bustle – Gathers up the train and fastens it over the skirt. If you’re looking not to disturb or lose any detail in your beautiful lace train or overlay, this is a great option!

How do I fasten my bustle?

Now this one’s simple, you don’t!

As you’ll be the one wearing this beautiful dress, you’ll need to enlist the help of a willing bridesmaid or maid of honour when it comes time to bustle. Whether your dress uses ribbons or buttons to fasten together, your helper should know how it works ahead of time.

Bustles can be notoriously fiddly in their aim to remain discreet! Inviting them to a fitting or an at-home trial run will undoubtedly save any time consuming fastening issues on the big day.

Gorgeous Styling for Lace Wedding Dresses

Below, let’s go through a few beautiful choices to perfectly complement your stunning lace gown.

Bridal Veil

There are thousands of options when it comes to your veil. Here are a couple of helpful tips to get you started!

If your dress is entirely made from lace, choose either a plain or lightly lace-edged veil so as not to steal focus from the intricacies of your dress. However, if your dress only has accents of lace on the sleeves or hem, for example, feel free to be a little more adventurous with a full lace veil to tie your look together.

Whichever you choose, ensuring the colours of your lace match one another is essential even if the patterns themselves aren’t identical.

Bridal Shoes

The detailed appearance of lace is often best matched with simpler textures so as not to make your bridal look too busy. With this in mind, classic satin heeled pumps will always look effortlessly chic paired with a lace wedding gown.

Bridal Hair Accessories

As with your shoes, simple accessories are always an elegant option. Luckily for us, lace pairs perfectly with crystals, flowers, and pearls. So whether you choose a floral crown, a diamond-encrusted vintage hair slide, or a pearl headband, it’s likely to be a perfect match.

5 Romantic Red Wedding Dresses – Yes, you can wear red down the aisle!

“A red wedding dress? On my big day?!”

I hear ya.

After years imagining your wedding day down to the last detail, it’s strange to picture yourself in anything other than white. But, I have a sneaking suspicion that as you read on and discover the dresses to come, you may develop a new picture.

Everyone is seated, the music begins to play, the crowd and your future spouse turn for your entrance. And in you glide in the most eternatlly romantic red wedding gown imaginable!

Meaning of A Red Wedding Dress

There’s an endless list of reasons you may decide to stand out in a red dress on your wedding day. Maybe it’s symbolic, a cultural influence, or it could simply be a personal preference. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular meanings behind red wedding dresses:

  • Cultural Influence – In some cultures, choosing to wear red is tied to tradition and the belief in what the colour symbolises. For example, Hindu and Sikh brides may choose or be asked to wear red for their wedding, as it represents fertility and prosperity within the marriage. Traditionally in China, brides are dressed in red, which symbolises good fortune, luck, and happiness.
  • Symbolising something special – Seeing red brings an immediate association with love, passion, and romance. There’s no better time to embrace these emotions than when marrying the one you love.
  • A chance to stand out – For many brides, a white gown just won’t cut it. If you’re the type of person who loves something a little different and unique, red is an ideal choice.
  • Red is your favourite color – Sometimes it’s as simple as totally adoring a certain color to wear on your wedding day. If that color is red, go for it and don’t look back!

A Red Wedding Dress, For Me?

The short answer to the question of whether you should wear a red dress or not — absolutely yes!

What you choose to wear on your wedding day is 100% your decision. There’s truly no reason to throw red out of your long list of glamorous options!

It’s true, red is not the tamest of colours. The thought of dressing in from head to toe in red can be daunting, especially on your wedding day!

Fear not. It’s all about finding the right shade and the right cut for your complexion, hair colour, and figure. Once that’s decided, a red dress can tick all the boxes. It’s dramatic, memorable and, though it may be something a few more brides are considering these days, it’s pretty unique!

In terms of hair colour, there are a few general rules of thumb when choosing a red dress. These are by no means set in stone, and you should feel free to experiment with red hues. However, it may help you get started!

Red Heads

Please do not be afraid of this colour! You’ve likely been taught to avoid it at all costs, but a red dress can work for you, and steal the show! Generally, brighter red dresses look best on cooler shades of red hair. Whereas opting for a darker dress will best complement those with warmer shades.

Blondes

This colour was practically made for you! From warm and golden to cool and icy, red complements and elevate lighter locks perfectly. Try softer reds if your hair is very fair and choose a richer hue for warmer honey blondes.

Brunettes

You can really afford to experiment with red dresses! Colors like striking apple red, luxurious maroon, and burgundy shades all look incredible.

Black Hair

Much like brunettes, we would highly recommend trying on a few deeper shades of red to give an overall picture of elegance and drama to your bridal look!

10 Top Ruby Earrings – Stylish Studs to make Virginia Woolf proud

In this article, we will cover the bases of how to style ruby earrings and pull off this look on your big day. We’ll finish off with a carefully curated list of our absolute favorite pairs for this wedding season.

Rubies have long been known for their rarity and illustrious red hue. Having earned the “King of Gemstone” title, they offer a feeling of luxury and richness like no other precious stone.

u003cemu003e“There is a coherence in things, a stability; something… is immune from change and shines out in the face of the flowing, the fleeting, the spectral, like a ruby.”u003c/emu003e
Virginia Woolf

Brides looking for a touch of color in their wedding look should consider ruby earrings. With a hint of vibrant red sparkle amidst a sea of white in your dress, you are sure to stand out from the crowd.

Ruby Symbolism

A symbol of passion, protection, and prosperity, rubies give off a sense of fiery glow that has been compared to that of a vibrant sunset. Ruby is said to be an aphrodisiac, allowing the wearer to experience all forms of love and deepening a couple’s relationship. It encourages closeness, commitment, and passion.

Birthstone – Rubies are the official birthstone of the month of the July as well as the 40th-anniversary gemstone.

Are you considering wearing rubies on your wedding day? You’re in good company. Some of the most famous ruby pieces belonged to the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Victoria Beckham, and Queen Elizabeth.

Origin – For many centuries, most of the world’s rubies were found in a valley of Upper Myanmar (Burma). Today, rubies are still mined in Myanmar, as well as in countries like Thailand, Cambodia, India, Afghanistan, Australia, Japan, Brazil, and Pakistan. Recently, large deposits have been found in Greenland under the ice shelf.

Lab Grown – Rubies can be created in a lab, also known as cultured or lab-grown rubies. This involves an artificial process using heat and pressure. They are chemically identical to natural rubies, yet the price point is more affordable.

What about Quality?

Rubies can range in price and quality. They can be relatively inexpensive in raw form and can be a most expensive gemstone. Color is perhaps the most important factor in a ruby’s quality — the finest rubies are a vibrant red. The more orange or purple the color becomes, the ruby decreases in quality.

Clarity, cut, and size are important determinants in quality and preference. If you wish to invest in a very fine and precious ruby or set of earrings, I suggest consulting with a fine jeweler to ensure the quality is up to your standards.

How to Style

Any time you choos a style of earring, consider your face shape as well as your strongest facial features. Longer faces look great with stud earrings, huggies or shorter hoops. Diamond and heart-shaped faces are well suited to longer styles like chandelier earrings.

Long earrings will accentuate the jawline while studs and smaller earrings tend to draw attention to the eyes.

Bringing in another little hint of red is a wonderful way to make your ruby earrings pop. Whether around your neck, roses in your bouquet or a pair of red heels on your feet, complimentary accessories will accentuate your ruby earrings.

Without further delay, here is our list of the top 10 ruby earrings for your wedding day.

Guide to Japanese Wedding Dresses – Traditional & Contemporary Brides

A Japanese wedding ceremony is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. Steeped in history and rich with tradition, it’s a celebration that includes the soon to be newlyweds, their families, and culture as a whole.

Like many historical traditions in Japan, wedding practices have grown and altered over time. At one time, the majority of Japanese wedding ceremonies were conducted in line with Shinto tradition taking place at a religious shrine. Though this is a traditon still practised today after over 100 years, many Japanese weddings now follow a Christian, Buddhist, or sometimes non-religious form.

That means many couples are now choosing to combine time-honoured tradition with more modern practices to create a bespoke day that reflects all aspects of their lives and religious beliefs . This shift has influenced the clothing aspect of the day, with a great number of brides now opting for a more western style white dress as opposed to a traditonal Uchikake (see below).

Select A Dream Japanese Wedding Gown

Wedding Gown Or Uchikake?

If you’re unfamiliar with Japanese wedding attire, let’s first get an understanding of Uchikake!

Uchikake is a formal style of wedding robe worn by the bride for the wedding ceremony itself. Its long sleeves are made from silk, which is heavily embroidered with a padded hem in order for it to trail on the floor. Unlike more familiar kimono styles, the Uchikake is made to be worn open over the brides kimono rather than fastened.

Gold painted Uchikake
Uchikake from Etsy

You often find them embroidered with traditional Japanese plants flowers and animals much like this breathtaking vintage example exhibited by the Metropolitan Museum Of Art. Many include depictions of a phoenix (a symbol of good fortune and immortality) or crane (associated with happiness and longevity).

Whether you opt for a traditional Uchikake Kimono or a more modern take on bridal wear, there’s no denying that Japanese wedding dresses are simply breathtaking. I’m sure my Japanophile (now) husband would have loved to see me strut down the wedding aisle in a classic kimono!

How to Decide?

Deciding between a traditional kimono or a contemporary style of dress can be a difficult decision. A time-honoured kimono style gown is steeped in tradition, yet you may wish for a crisp, contemporary white gown to glide down the aisle. Consider what is important for your wedding ceremony when it comes to making that choice. Whether it’s a traditional Shinto wedding, a Christian ceremony, or a Buddhist blessing, your dress should reflect your day.

That being said, you may be planning to incorporate a blend of two or more faiths. In that case, why not plan for a change in your day in true Japanese style? Wearing one look for the ceremony and another for the reception could be the answer. In fact, that’s what I did at my own wedding, not so long ago!

With so many incredibly beautiful kimonos and elegant white dresses available you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Styling & Traditional Wedding Kimono

Adequately matching the opulence of a bridal kimono with your styling for a Shinto ceremony is no easy feat. However, contending with such rich and vibrant colours is the perfect opportunity to embrace tradition and be playful with your hair and makeup.

A traditional makeup look includes a white base, defined eyebrows, and brightly coloured lips. You can also wear vibrant flowers or kanzashi in your hair.

Kanzashi – small ornaments made specifically for the hair, meaning they come in a huge array of shapes and colours. Use them to highlight the colours in your kimono or even choose a colour that’s especially meaningful to you and your spouse.

Example Kanzashi from Etsy

Styling & Modern Gowns

If you’ve chosen a more contemporary white dress, your styling is likely different from that of a traditional Japanese bride. In this case, a sleek, minimal hair and makeup look works best. Natural-looking make-up and soft curls, or a chic up-do with a few delicate flowers placed throughout the hair, is a simply stunning and timeless choice.

Japanese Wedding Dress Designs

Okay, my attempt at Japanese for seriously stunning inspiration … Sugoi desu ne!!!!!

My husband lived in Japan for a while and says it basically means, “Isn’t that awesome!”

I’m sure there’s a better translation — any Japanese speakers want to weigh in?

Below is our list of top Japanese wedding dresses including a mix of traditional kimonos, more modern dresses, and gowns subtly inspired by Japanese bridal wear. And just like every bride to be, each is undeniably beautiful in their own special way!

4. Japanese Inspired Wedding Dress

Meanwhile, delicate eyelash lace edging on the sleeves accentuates the shapely fitted edges of the bodice.

5. Inexpensive Japanese Wedding Dress

It’s safe to say, the results are spellbinding and we have fallen in love with this floral dress. 10 Top Blue Topaz Earrings – Will it be London or Swiss Topaz?

In this article, we’ll explore a gemstone choice that is garnering increasing attention and popularity among bridal and non-bridal looks alike: blue topaz earrings.

When it comes to your wedding day the choices are almost endless for earrings — pearls, diamonds, gold, silver and every gemstone under the sun. If you have found yourself in an overwhelming predicament of decisions and a limited timeframe to put it all together, don’t fret.

Why Something Blue?

“Something Blue” was a concept derived from the old English rhyme “Something olde, something new, something borrowed something blue, a sixpence in your shoe”. These four objects were said to bring good fortune.

Traditionally, brides often wore a blue garter belt and in ancient Roman times, brides wore blue to symbolize love, purity, and fidelity. Nowadays brides have updated old traditions to incorporate blue into their jewelry, flowers, nails, and shoes.

I love the concept of adding little hints of blue into a bridal look through earrings. Blue topaz is a gorgeous gemstone that can be worn on your wedding day, an also after. This versatile gemstone is a reasonably priced alternative to diamonds that should be added to your permanent jewelry collection!

The cherry on top? It looks as stunning with a wedding dress just as it does with a pair of jeans, heels, or a work blazer.

Different Shades of Blue Topaz

You may have noticed that there are different varieties and colors of topaz, and also different classifications of blue topaz.

Natural blue topaz is now quite rare. Most of the topaz used in jewelry is created through a gemstone treatment. Radiation and heat are applied to change a more clear or brown topaz into a beautiful blue shade.

The two predominant colors of blue topaz are “London” and “Swiss” blue. What’s the difference?

Swiss blue is a lighter tone with lighter saturation, while London blue is a darker, rich hue of blue with a darker saturation. London blue tends to be priced just slightly higher than Swiss blue and is currently the more popular color of topaz on the market today. Your choice will depend on your color preference and budget.

How to Wear

Consider first if you wish to make a statement or if you prefer a more subtle yet classic look. If you go big with your jewelry, you may wish to choose a set of earrings with larger, bold topaz stones as well as other gemstones intermixed.

If you prefer a classic, subtle style, choose a smaller stud earring or a delicate set of hoops or huggie earrings. These work well with nearly any hairstyle and won’t take away from anything around your neck and shoulders.

Whatever your bridal style, blue topaz earrings will bring that perfect pop of blue (and good luck!) into your look.

I’ve searched for some of my favorite sets of blue topaz earrings on the market. Here are the top ten finalists of the prettiest, most charming blue topaz earrings I would love to add to my collection.

6 Luxurious Laser Cut Wedding Invitation Designs

Looking for an alternative to plain envelopes and invitations? An elegant and unique option, laser cut wedding invitations steal the show with their delicate details and ability to be customized.

Thanks to the increasing availability of laser cutting equipment, stationery vendors the world over are beginning to expand their inventory to include laser cut wedding invitations.

This stylish kind of invitation is created by uploading a design into a computer, which then instructs the laser cutter where to aim and how quickly to move. Moving quicker creates a burn whereas moving slower creates a cut. This allows an enormous amount of flexibility in choosing materials, as any design can be paired with different kinds of paper.

Affordable Laser Cut Wedding Invites

It’s no secret that wedding invitations can be expensive. However, laser cut invitations can be an affordable alternative to traditional invitation designs and decorations while still providing a premium product.

There are thousands of laser cut invitation designs to choose from. Below is our list of favorite picks (mainly from Etsy). In compiling the list, we selected invitations for either their original design, stunning execution of a classic, or simply their ability to render us speechless!

1. Navy Blue Laser Cut Invite

By PurpleandPlatinum

navy laser cut wedding invite

If you already have something old, something new, and something borrowed, but are still looking for that something blue check out these wedding invitations!

A classic navy color, these handmade laser cut invitations are the whole package. A delicate lace gatefold opens to reveal the details of your upcoming nuptials printed on a simple white card. The simplicity of plain white stationary only serves to complement the intricate navy lace, culminating in a tasteful look that accentuates rather than overwhelms. To keep from being too plain, however, the invitation envelope is shimmering ivory to match the belly band, delivering a final pop of perfect glitz to your invitations.

Each invitation comes with a double layered response card and ivory shimmer envelope. You can add a gold shimmer belly band with your initials for $1.25.

2. Wooden Tree Laser Cut Invite & RSVP

By AmazingWoodCraft

Like to buck tradition? Delight your friends and family with wedding invitations made from wood!

This design prominently displays an oak tree — a symbol of strength and knowledge.

Cut from 1/16th inch cherry wood, these invitations are a testament to detail. The elaborate engravings of leaves and bark would be impossible on ordinary paper invitations, but by changing the medium from paper to wood each line and curve is rendered in stunning detail. Attached to the wood, is a creamy kraft paper (environmentally friendly and designed to be tear-resistant) just waiting to be embossed with your dates.

The rustic look is completed by a twine and wooden heart charm tying it all together. Included in the purchase are paper RSVP cards (which can be customized or made into a similar laser cut wood through conversation with the seller) and envelopes. It goes without saying that you may want to hand deliver these wood wedding invites. 😉

3. White Shimmer Laser Cut Invite

by Invited in Style

White Shimmer Laser Cut Invite

Looking for something elegant and refined? Patterned with a white delicate lace and embellished with real foil in one of three colors, these invitations are about as luxurious as you can get!

You can order the full suite, which comes with an RSVP card and reply envelope as well as a Wishing Well/Details card or you can simply order the invitations – perfect if you’re using an online RSVP system and wedding website to share the details of your big day.

Purchase with or without typography, allowing for hand done calligraphy if you so choose.

4. Pearl Foil Laser Cut Suite

By Etsy: Cartalia

Pearl Foil Laser Cut Suite

Glamorous and classy can sometimes be a difficult combination. These pearl foil invitations pull it off without a hitch!

An intricate rose patterned overlay will let your monogram peek through. There are other colors to choose from, but we just love the simple elegance of the pearl. To tie the look all together, add an additional Details card.

These invitations come full assembled with the invitation, monogram printed envelope, RSVP card, envelope, and pocket.

5. Floral Laser Cut Wedding Invitation

By Cartalia

For those searching for wedding invitations to match the bouquet, these invitations rise to the occasion. Featuring delicate, embossed roses and available for purchase in a variety of metallic colors such as old gold, royal blue, mars red, graphite white, and pink to name a few.

All of your pertinent wedding details are printed on white, pearlized Italian paper (other colors are available upon request) and slipped inside a matching white envelope.

6. Black Laser Cut Invitation

By DesignedWithAmore

Black Laser Cut Invitation

Black wedding invitations can be tricky to get right, especially if your wedding theme is not Gothic. With just the perfect hint of dramatic flair, these black laser cut invitations stand out amongst the crowd.

Printed on thick cardstock, the floral laser cut detailing provides a stunning contrast to the white background, while the gold mirror elevates the whole look. These chic invitations are guaranteed to catch eyes when they arrive in the mail.

Custom Laser Cut Invitations

For those looking to order bespoke wedding invitations, laser cut can still offer a solution. Vendors on websites like Etsy are open to making changes to their designs. Or, sometimes a vendor will create fully customized invitations. Contact the vendor directly and see if they are willing to work with you one-on-one.

If you are committed to the idea of cutting your own designs into invitations, know that laser cutters can be quite expensive. However, search around and you may find a specialty printing or graphics shop that is willing to work with you to bring your vision to life.

10 Top Butterfly Earring Designs (Wing, Diamond, and Gold)

Some things never lose their beauty or magic. And I happen to think that butterfly earrings are one of those!

Butterflies are special to many people for many reasons. I love the idea of incorporating this symbol into your wedding day look with an elegant pair of butterfly earrings.

In this article, we’ll cover how and why you might choose to bring such symbolism into your wedding day ensemble. I dug deep, and searched for the most exquisite pairs to add to this curated list of our favorites. Hope you love them all as much as I do!

The Butterfly Prize

As a teenager, I played in athletic championships that were often sponsored by various local businesses. The summer I turned 15, a local jeweler sponsored one of these events. The winners got to choose a piece of fine jewelry from the prize table.

Lucky for me, I had a solid final day and was granted the winning title. I may have been more excited to have first choice and take home a new piece of sparkling jewels. As I looked through the tiny boxes, a gorgeous set of tiny 18K gold and diamond earrings screamed my name.

To this day, I wear those earrings and they have brought so much joy and many compliments over the years.

Why Wear Butterflies?

I often think about butterflies in a personal season of transformation. Often the butterfly symbol is seen on cards of support and encouragement during challenging life events. They can also represent the beautiful aspects of transformation, change, hope, and growth.

“In all of their splendor and their strife, butterflies represent new beginnings and new life.”

— Quote about Butterflies

I can’t think of a more appropriate symbol for the new beginning of a marriage and your life as a couple. I adore the idea of softly incorporating this symbolism into your special day with jewelry and accessories. Imagine a tasteful set of butterfly earrings fluttering on your earlobes!

Incorporate Butterflies Earrings with your Bridal Look

To narrow down the choice of earring, I suggest thinking about how you will wear your hair.

Hair Up or Half-up – If choosing to wear your hair up or half-up, a more dramatic, long earring works wonderfully. With your hair half up you can wear either a drop earring or stud.

Hair Down – If you will wear your hair down, and there will be a lot of volume around your face, I suggest a more simple look for your ears. A pair of stud earrings that sit mostly on your earlobe should do the trick.

Other Accessories – A set of longer earrings looks wonderful with a delicate necklace and a few tiny metallic butterfly hairpins. Small stud earrings can combine with a more significant piece or matching pendant around the neck.

10 Opal Earrings with Mesmerizing Style & Design

Struggling to find that perfect pair of earrings to bring your look together?

In this article, we followup on the success of our opal ring article to cover the earring format of this vibrant gemstone choice. We’ve carefully curated a list of our favorite opal earrings that we hope can add an extra touch of unique elegance to your ensemble.

Firey Opal Magic

I’ll never forget the first time I tried on a piece of jewelry with an opal stone. I was a teenager in a small town jewelry shop alongside my mother, admiring all of the shiny, sparkly things. When I picked up a piece that featured opal, I discovered a mesmerizing rainbow of color flashing before my eyes.

“That’s the fire,” said the jeweler. “It reflects a spectrum of colors in the light when you rotate it.”

I had no idea at the time what fire was, but I knew I was captivated. It was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with the fiery gemstone known as opal.

Queen of Gemstones

Opals have been commonly considered the queen of gemstones with their magnificent opalescence (rainbow of colors). They are formed over long periods of time from rainwater when it mixes into a solution with silicon dioxide from sandstone found in the earth.

While over 90% of opals are mined in Australia, they are also found in Mexico, Ethiopia, Brazil, Indonesia, and the USA.

Opals are the birthstone for October, but don’t sweat it if you’re not an October baby. They are also the stone traditionally used to celebrate the 14th anniversary. Your earrings will happily remind you of your love and commitment for many years to come.

10) Swarovski Crystal & Opal

By Etsy: CoutureBridalStudios

Opal Solids, Doublets, and Triplets

If quality is of high importance to you, ask a few questions ahead of purchasing any opal earrings. Opals can come in three forms: solid, doublets and triplets.

A doublet or triplet simply means that the opal has been combined with synthetic material. A doublet is a piece of opal (normally translucent) that has been cut specifically to show off the most colorful features and then glued to darker material. While this does not make it a “pure” opal, it is done to enhance color and add strength or thickness.

Triplets are the same as doublets with the exception of a clear top coating of quartz or glass. This essentially makes them of lower value.

Finally, an opal solid is a gemstone that completely consists of the opal stone. Typically the more opalescence, the more expensive the piece. Australian black opals tend to be sold as solid opal.

Price and Style

Opal earrings can range in price anywhere from $20 into the thousands of dollars. Your final decision will depend on your quality preference, metal setting choice, stones, size, and budget.

Opals are not only a beautiful choice to wear on your wedding day, but a timeless pair of earrings that you’ll wear again and again. They are one of the most versatile gemstones that can be worn with any look — from casual to black tie. Said to inspire love, hope, luck and happiness, there couldn’t be a more fitting choice of stone to adorn your ears.

And there you have it, folks! We absolutely adore opals as a bridal gemstone choice. Studs, hoops or drop styles, you simply can’t go wrong with the queen of gems. Which set of opal earrings captures your heart? Let us know in the comment section below!
