Alice in Wonderland Styled Shoot, Arlington Hall at Lee Park
I can’t believe almost three weeks have past since I featured the amazing James and the Giant Peach inspired shoot. Yikes time is flying. So it is about time for the next enchanting installment of fairy tale/book themed styled shoots. So go grab your cup of coffee, sit back and enjoy today’s The Secret Garden meets Alice in Wonderland styled shoot.
Remarks from Event Designer: “The Alice concept has been one that has inspired many but we wanted to portray it a little differently. Our goal was to have something mature, yet whimsical and mischievous at the same time. Arlington Hall was the ideal location to house the shoot as they have gorgeous gardens with brown ivy that captured that Secret Garden element so perfectly.
“There are aspects of the shoot that are quintessentially Alice i.e. the drink and eat me signs, rabbits and teapots to name a few. However, we wanted to show a slightly darker, more grown-up version that was depicted in the invitation suite, gothic mirror and bar. We’d like to think an older Alice in the future would enjoy spiked tea and bramble!”
“There were pops of color within the shoot that really made it come to life with brightly colored napkins, mismatched china and the pink Priscilla couch. You don’t typically see these types of flowers in wedding bouquets but we had a blast using protea, hellebores, ferns and even dried mushrooms throughout! “
“We wanted to evoke a sense of intimacy and that came with ES Events hanging string lights and lanterns to elevate the setting at the same time. Panini Bakery and Dandelion Cheesecakes came in with multiple desserts to display and delicious cheesecakes which helped tie everything together.”

Isn’t she gorgeous?! I’m not one who would normally go for an off white/blush dress but I think her dress convinced me I could!
