Rainy Day Wedding at Axis Pioneer Square in Seattle

Last Updated: March 16th, 2021/1 CommentTopic: REAL WEDDINGSby Meredith

Hardwood floors, an abundance of red brick walls, and up lighting provide a wonderful setting for today’s featured wedding at Axis Pioneer Square in Seattle.

You have likely heard about rain on your wedding day being good luck, as symbol of new starts, unity and renewal. A wedding day shower or two in Seattle is nothing new, make sure to plan ahead by purchasing some classy mismatched umbrellas (as the couple below did) that tie in perfectly to a vintage wedding feel.

The Venue

AXIS Pioneer Square is a unique blend of 6000 square foot indoor space, art gallery, and old town alleyway outdoor space.  Set within the historic 1889 Globe Building in Seattle, the space features an event capacity up to 400, and is centered on a series of 18’ brick arches blending seamlessly into antique wood floors with a sprinkle of industrial modern design.

AXIS is the only large capacity non-hotel event space in downtown Seattle. Easily walk to numerous downtown hotels, as well as the burgeoning Pioneer Square restaurant and bar scene right out the back alley!

We are in LOVE with this vintage style framed chalkboard seating sign placed on an old wooden easel. This look is so appropriate set against the backlit brick wall!

What a wonderfully soft color scheme of pale green, gold chargers, and cream accent flowers to round out the table setting. The color enhances the overall appeal of the visual brick walls without overpowering.

Absoutely love this vintage chest of drawers acting as a dessert table. The whole ensemble looks as good as a styled shoot and provides a visual feast as much as a sugar one!

More ornate gold framed chalkboard signs for the custom “his and hers drink menu” to extend the theme throughout the Axis Pioneer Square wedding venue.
