Elizabeth and Andy’s Wedding

Last Updated: March 8th, 2021/9 CommentsTopic: REAL WEDDINGSby Meredith
Happy Friday everyone! We’re definitely ready for the weekend, and this charming, heartfelt wedding is the perfect way to help get us through the last day of the work week. Elizabeth and Andy met while they were both living and working in Nashville only to find out that Elizabeth was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan–the same city where Andy attended college! It’s a small world.

From their photographer, Kristyn Hogan: When planning their wedding, Elizabeth and Andy had no idea that his career with the Nashville Predators Hockey Team would threatened to postpone their nuptials with just one more win in the finals. (Safe to say that was one lost game that didn’t sting as much as usual!)  Elizabeth says she and Andy chose Cedarwood as their venue because it matched the down-home-country chic style they were looking for. They wanted a country-inspired celebration that was relaxed and outside so family and friends could enjoy each other’s company and take in the full magnitude of Tennessee’s beauty.

To personalize their union, Elizabeth wore a ring from Andy’s family and Andy’s wedding ring was his father’s. Elizabeth pinned a piece of fabric from her beloved grandmother inside her dress and Andy dedicated his groom’s cake to his late father, with a quote he was known to say at family weddings. Pies from the Amish Feed Mill replaced wedding cake, and Elizabeth and Andy wrote letters to each other the night before their wedding and during their ceremony nailed them inside a wooden box, along with a bottle of wine, to be opened on their 10th anniversary.

Oh my goodness, with her tearful look at him, and the way he’s looking at her walking down the isle, it almost makes ME tear up! It’s inspiring.
