On this beautiful Tuesday we thought we would share with you the elegant Ontario wedding at Paletta Mansion in Burlington. Rhiannon runs the blog and also styles events at Hey Gorgeous Events. She has amazing style which you can see throughout her wedding.
Here is what Rhiannon said about her wedding:
“Andrew and I were married, September 24th, 2010 at Paletta Mansion in Burlington, Ontario. While our day was so far from perfect logistically, finally becoming husband and wife after 5 years of dating and two years of long distance loving, was the perfect way to start our new journey together. We had a small, intimate, very DIY wedding full of personal, vintage and fun touches that represented us and our relationship together.
We splurged on an awesome photographer and a really unique and memorable venue. Since we paid for a really big chunk of our wedding, we really did some soul searching to decide what items were worth our money and what were not.
If I could offer any piece of advice to future brides it would be to please please please hire a wedding planner. I can assure you they will be worth every single penny. I didn’t think we could afford a planner leading up to our big day nor did I think we would need one. Since I was in the beginning stages of starting my own business planning and styling weddings, I figured the experience and practice would be worth it. But no bride should ever have to set up her own centerpieces and cake, greet her vendors, or make sure her big day dreams are a reality.
And I hate to sound so cliche but in the end, your wedding is really just one day in a lifetime commitment called marriage. Remind yourself of this throughout those stressful planning moments and you’ll be surprised how minuscule decisions like table arrangements and bridesmaids dress styles really are!”
Paletta Lakefront Park and Mansion
The mansion stands on an exquisite 14 acre lakefront property referred to as “the jewel in the crown” of Burlington waterfront.
This three storey, 11,000 square-foot mansion has original hardwood floors throughout, and is the perfect location for a function such as a wedding.
