I am very fond of this intimate Tuscany destination wedding – the classic setting of old stone church for an intimate wedding ceremony along with a vineyard for a reception. This screams traditional Tuscany destination wedding, simply amazing!

I got engagement on a tower in the center of Florence, Italy.  So, it should come as no surprise that I am a huge fan of intimate destination weddings and engagements.  I like that the bride and groom get to decide for themselves where they envision getting married.  After that big decision is made, they are able to distribute the date and time to their guests who decide to either attend or don’t attend!  No fussing around.  The newlyweds have the added bonus of being able to slip right into honeymoon mode once the wedding is finished.

Bride’s Comments: “Jeff and I had been together for over ten years when we decided to get married and we had a two- year engagement. We like to take our time!

“We had planned this wonderful wedding in Seattle, WA, with 140 guests, but our plans kept diverging when our original venue closed down and then our church double booked on our date with an Easter Event. Having changed our wedding date twice, we decided that this was clearly a sign that perhaps we needed to make our own route.

“A destination wedding was an idea we had toiled in our minds during our initial planning. Last fall, when we were experiencing grey matter over when/where we should have the wedding, Jeff met a person on his bus commute to work who swooned for his recent trip to Italy with his wife. This was Jeff’s epiphany and I was instantly intrigued. Our hearts were set.

“It took us only four months to plan our destination wedding, mostly because the wedding coordinator Daniela at Livernano was simply amazing. We didn’t even have to set a third wedding date, as we were able to plan and wed on our original 4.4.14 date. We scooped up eleven family and friends to embark on this intimate and whimsical adventure with us to Italy!

“The cake was designed by Andre who is the main chef at Livernano. He also created the menus of our welcome and wedding dinners.

“DIY: We stamped our own dinner name cards and wrote in the names. The stamp and paper were from BHLDN. The stamp is from a company called Yellow Owl Workshop. I felted a mini bride and groom figurines of ourselves for table décor.”
