Hi, I’m Sofia from Brancoprata and I’m very happy and excited to be here on the amazing Love and Lavender.
Today I would like to share with you a real Portuguese wedding. Hope you like it!
Rute and Raul got married in Braga on July 17th. Since our first meeting we realized that this couple wanted a very pink & sweet wedding without going over the top! Modern, minimalistic, but with a romantic and girlie twist!
Programs and little boxes for petals were distributed during the ceremony.
Every little detail was carefully planned, the invitation design was used throughout the entire stationery and even on the centerpieces where we used some Ikea frames with flowers and candles! Rute loves roses and peonies, so obviously, they were used everywhere! We also included pink dahlias.
Favors were different kinds of plants that each guest could choose from. We didn’t used a guest book, we decided to have cushions were guest could hang their love notes to bride and groom.
As guests arrived at the venue a signature strawberry drink was served!
After dinner everybody sang Happy Birthday to Raul’s brother and afterwords, since it was a perfect Summer night, Rute and Raul cut the wedding cake outside on the balcony with an amazing view over the city and some fireworks.
Finally it was time to dance and these two rock the night away ending the party at 6:35 a.m.
When we left them, they were going to see the sunrise from that same balcony… how romantic is that?
It was a perfect wedding and we will never forget Rute and Raul for their kindness and good mood!!
