Their Story
If anyone is trying to put together a beautiful wedding in a short amount of time, here’s proof it can definitely be done! Alison and David’s wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery was planned in three months. Alison wanted nothing to do with a conventional wedding; David is from England and loves tradition. The perfect compromise was a simple and elegant wedding full of meaningful, fun, and whimsical details! Thanks to Hannah and Tria of Honey & Twine Weddings and Events for sending this lovely wedding our way.
To pay homage to England, Alison walked down the aisle with her mom to Coldplay’s “Kingdom Come” and on the inside of David’s wedding ring was inscribed the classic British saying “Keep Calm and Carry On” We love that Alison wore her glasses down the aisle too!
Alison didn’t want a traditional bouquet toss, so Hannah and Tria brainstormed different ways for her to give away her bouquet. We love the “guess how many jellybeans in the jar” game they came up with!
Alison and David’s cat, Buddy, is a very important part of their life, but unfortunately cats don’t make the best wedding guests. So instead of having him there in person (or in cat), they brought him there in print. It started with the party favors: English Newcastle Brown Ale, dubbed “Great Budworth’s Celebration Ale”. Buddy graced the custom labels in a very posh Union Jack tie. He was also incorporated into the wedding stationery and was even included in their darling cake topper!
