Are Keds Shoes Making a Wedding Day Comeback?

Today’s featured wedding from Mobile, Alabama has a modern meets art deco feel to it that we love. Whatsmore, this is the third wedding I’ve seen in the last few weeks where the bride is wearing Keds shoes. Move over Jimmy Choo, are glitzy sneakers the new wedding footwear of choice?

Keds shoes for your wedding

Iconic Keds shoes has partnered with Kate Spade New York to bring these glittering pink sneakers to the wedding runway. Browse a selection of Keds on Zappos (our recommended online shoe store because of their insanely good customer service) and see if a pair of Keds catches your eye.

We think they’re a cute, fun, and affordable addition to your wedding day attire. Sure, they’re not the glam designer heels that some brides choose to wear on their feet, but they will probably make your feet feel a whole lot better by the end of the night. And trust us, your feet WILL get sore on your wedding day 😉

Their Story

Photographer’s Comments: “Back in September we had the grand opening of our Mobile office. Since then, we have been able to work with the great people in the city many times, and thankfully we have many more to come. This was my first opportunity to shoot a downtown Mobile wedding, and I’m so excited to work there more. Katie with Noble Events was so much fun to work with and set everything up for the day to flow with ease. “Brittany and Lance hosted their Memorial Day wedding at The Admiral Hotel in historic downtown Mobile. The great thing about being in the city is that we could take advantage of the greenery and beautiful trees in the park as well as the city walls and lights for their portraits. The hotel had a 1940s art deco design and hosted most of their guests so that they could enjoy the day without any additional traveling. Brittany and Lance are both in the restaurant industry. They chose to have their wedding on the holiday so that all their friends who are also co-workers would have the day off to celebrate with them. “I really enjoyed working with Brittany and Lance. They were very light hearted and fun, willing and ready to enjoy anything their wedding day brought to them. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to capture such great souls and enjoy spending the day in downtown Mobile.”
