We love the abundant use of colorful flowers, chalkboards, and other whimsical decor for today’s barn wedding at Genesee Valley. Austin and Dana made the most of their rainy day wedding and had (what looks like) a fabulous time!

Inspirational Invite Two Cents
An English floral garden wedding invitation from Minted really picks up the purple and green tones of this wedding!

What We Love
- Chalkboards are a great way to personalize your rustic or whimsical wedding, while at the same time providing much needed directional signage for your guests. If you need some additional insight, check out this chalkboard sign placement article we wrote.
- Wonderful way to DIY your decor is to use found objects – like the rain boot below – and sticking a bunch of flowers inside.

Dana & Austin
Their Story
Comments from the Bride: “Austin and I met at Ridgely Middle School in Lutherville, Maryland. We have known each other a long time. Austin was the new kid in our 7th grade class, and the rumor was that he was a surfer who moved to Maryland from California. I immediately fell in love. “In one diary entry, I proclaimed, ‘I think I met the boy I am going to marry’ – I still have notebooks signed with Dana Hamby in different types of cursive script. Despite my not-so-discreet love for him, we remained friends throughout middle school and high school. “Nearing the end of college, we reunited, rekindled our friendship and eventually started dating. “Two years ago, Austin proposed in the most romantic way in my very own backyard – at a beautiful, secluded cove at the Loch Raven Reservoir. After having been together for nearly 10 years, we recently decided to move our lives to the wonderful city of Denver. The lifestyle is amazing, and we cannot wait to continue our path together among the fresh air, majestic mountains and tranquil spirit of Colorado.”Gallery
