Esther & Zachary

Their Story

Vendor’s Comments: “Esther and Zachary craved a day that would exude the wild, worldly elegance of A Midsummer’s Night Dream with a golden hour reception celebration. “The naturally beautiful venue of Olowalu Plantation offered blank canvas we needed to host their traditional Jewish wedding surrounded by family who traveled from Israel and close friends. “Esther and Zachary chose July 26 to give a nod to the Jewish holiday, Tu Be’Av. In ancient Jewish culture, eligible singles of the community would go out into the field and find a match. Traditionally, the theme of that time was love, marriage, the full moon and all of the women wore flowers in their something – something Esther’s bridesmaids did as well. “With their wedding being fairly a traditional Jewish wedding, Esther and Zachary included the Bedeken Ceremony? (where the groom greets the bride and puts her veil on and the bride needs a special area/seat where guests greet her) and the Chuppah Ceremony? that Petals adorned in shades of creamsicle and salmon blooms.  Petals set the stage for a family-style feast with tropical designs featuring proteas, vibrant ranunculus, and sun-kissed tulips and locally-sourced greenery. “Esther and Zach made us fall in love all over again with this traditional wedding!”
