I have always been fond of the nautical themed wedding look. Â Whether it is during fleet week in New York were are the navy sailors line the deck all in white or the memory of my mom dressing me up in a sailor suit at the age of two for a fashion show on a cruise ship. Â Okay, I don’t remember that, but I have photo evidence and it was pretty darn cute.
There is something sharp and pleasing with a navy blue and white color scheme.  This particular nautical themed wedding at St Pete beach community center was captured by Stephanie Dishman Photography. What a perfect nautical ensemble – even down to the super adorable flower girl and ring bearer pulled in a navy blue boat.  Ahoy there matey!

About This Wedding
Best Wedding Planning Advice
The best advice I received, which was from my mother, was “This is the only time it’s okay to be selfish, so do what YOU want!”
Highlights from the Ceremony & Reception
“I can’t choose an exact highlight, but it was a great feeling to have everyone that we love being under one roof at the same time!”
Describe the bride/bridesmaids’ attire
“My bridesmaids all wore mint colored Angelina Faccenda by Mori Lee dresses. The color and fabrics were all the same but each bridesmaid wore a different style based on their body type and what they felt comfortable in. My maid of honor wore a long dress, where the others were all in shorter styles. I chose to tie it all together with matching shoes, which were nude peep toe sling backs and matching nautical jewelry.”
Wedding Music
“The bridal party walked out to Over The Rainbow & What A Wonderful World by Israel Mamakawiwo’ole. I walked out to the instrumentals of our first dance song “I won’t give up” by Jason Mraz and the processional was Bob Marley.”
Wedding Flowers
“My bridesmaids bouquets were three single white lilies, and my was an arrangement of different types of orchids.”
How many guests were invited and final count?
“We invited around 120 guests and the final guest count was 116.”
Wedding Budget
“I honestly never started out with an exact budget. I tried saving money where I could, like choosing a venue that allowed us to use all outside vendors. Try booking vendors early because sometimes they will give you a discount. Â I also chose to do a lot of DIY projects, which was a lot of fun. After everything was said and done the budget came close to $12,000 dollars.“
Wedding Favors:
“We gave plantable paper anchors that we found on Etsy, which when planted will grow flowers or herbs.”
