“We wanted to have a really intimate wedding, we only invited 55 people. That night was all about the love and family, and we wanted everyone to feel it.”  

Where did you buy your wedding invitations?

“We bought our invitations from Paper Source.”  

Tell us about your Wedding Budget

“We didn’t have a set budget, but I was VERY cautious of my spending. We saved money by borrowing things from family or friends (candles, candle holders) doing a lot of DIY things and just looking at the bigger picture and asking “do I really need this?!” We also had the reception in my in-laws backyard! That saved us major bucks!”  

Wedding Florals

“Roses, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, carnations, with a few other types of flowers. I had Oceanic Flowers in Westminster create my floral bouquets and they were wonderful.”  

Describe the Groom’s Attire

“The Groom’s suit is from men’s warehouse that we actually got on sale! He looked so dapper in that suit … I was so happy with it! His shoes were from Macys.”  

Highlights from the Ceremony and Reception

“Mike and I have a son, so having him walk me down the aisle was one of the best moments in my life. And, having our family dance right after our first dance was amazing. Our son loves to get down to Push It by Salt-N-Pepa!”

Describe the Bride’s Attire

“The dress was from David’s bridal, shoes were Ralph Lauren. Open toe, plum scrappy heels.”  

Wedding Day Accessories

“I wore my aunts bracelets that she wore on her 20 years wedding anniversary/vow renewal. I always promised her I would wear them, 20 years later I’m happy to say I did.”  

Best advice you received while wedding planning?

“Keep things simple and enjoy the ride. Planning goes by so fast, and before you know it you are in your wedding dress! And just remember, not everything is in your control, just have faith that everything will be fine! I promise.”  

Wedding Favors

“This is another place we kept things very simple, we placed Ferroro Rocher candies at each seat and then we had to have and to hold and to keep your beer cold cozies by all the beers/drinks. We bought the candies from our local target, and the cozies from Oriental Trading.”  

Where did you go on your Honeymoon?

“We went on a familymoon to San Diego. We stayed at the Omni Hotel, which was wonderful.”
