(Photographer’s Comments): “Jordi had met the love of her life, David, and tied the knot at Glasgow Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Jordi and David are a no-frills, down to earth couple.
“The wedding ceremony was complete with a watering ceremony as opposed to a candle lighting or sand ceremony. First, a person representing each family poured water into a watering can. Then, Jordi and David watered their sunflower plant. It was simply beautiful.
“Jordi and David wanted to spend their day with friends and family celebrating love. In typical Virginia fashion, it wasn’t an overly hot day for the 4th of July, but a little thunderstorm rolled in just before the ceremony. Jordi didn’t mind, she said it was good luck. This is why I love her!
“A go-with-the-flow bride makes you realize exactly why you’re there in the first place: the love. David and Jordi were married with a few rain sprinkles dropping from the sky. All the people they care most about looking on … with umbrellas of course.
“After they said ‘I do’ the sun came out, the air cooled off, and it was time to party – complete with fireworks! What’s the 4th of July without fireworks?!”
