Their Story

Photographer’s Comments: “By day, Linden Place serves as a historical museum in the seaside town of . By night, this mansion serves as a unique wedding venue, steeped in antiques and history! Linden Place was built in 1810 and is a historical landmark in Bristol. All of the furniture is original and the rooms with decor have been preserved. This was the perfect place for Kayla and Dave to tie the knot as Kayla is a self-proclaimed antiques lover. “Kayla and Dave had a romantic outdoor ceremony in the sculpture garden behind the mansion. With a chuppah that was draped in garlands of greenery and giant pink protea flowers, this happy couple said their “I do’s” while incessantly smiling (and sniffling). After the ceremony, guests were invited into the historical ballroom for dinner and dancing. We loved all of the traditional New England appetizers that Blackstone Caterers served–mini lobster rolls and baked stuffed clams! During the speeches, one of Kayla’s best friends had a spontaneous chair break, and he ended up on the floor in disbelief. Having a photojournalist document the wedding really helps to preserve moments like this. Kayla and Dave started off the dance party with the hora (one of our absolute favorite Jewish wedding traditions), followed by lots of wild dancing and limbo action.”
