Their Story
Photographer’s Comments: “Kyle and Justin’s burgundy wedding took place at Interlachen Country Club. For their big day, the couple tied in a Star Wars theme by adding figurines to their boutonnieres, a wedding sign with the Star Wars font, and we may have even gotten some lightsaber portrait shots. They also personalized their day with some special details like a homemade donut wall display that Justin created and these two seasoned travels incorporated their love of new cultures by adding a unity candle from Holland and a vintage cake cutting set from Italy. For them, photography was a huge part of their wedding day and I loved all the time they allowed me to get incredible portraits. They also had a polaroid guestbook and disposable cameras at every table! Not a detail was missed!”
How They Met
Justin and Kyle met back in 2014. It was Halloween and Kyle was working a retail job. She got off at midnight when her friend received a text from Justin to come to a party. Kyle went with her friend to the party and hit it off with Justin. All Justin really remembers about the party was meeting a “very cute girl.” He pursued her for a few weeks and then they started to go on dates, texting nonstop, and bonding over their love of sci-fi.
The Proposal
In 2018, Justin planned a romantic trip to Italy for him and Kyle. He managed to get them reservations at one of the top 15 restaurants in the world: Enoteca Pinchiorri, located in Florence. With dinner like that, Justin chose to let the food pop the question for him. The restaurant’s Michelin star chef created a custom dessert that read “will you marry me?” in Italian. Of course, Kyle said yes!
