Megan & Bryce
Their Story
Historic Pennsylvania property and forest for magical bride and groom photos, unfussy hair, epic dance party, this is a wedding to inspire other brides. This is how it’s done ladies!About This Wedding
Q1: Tell us about your wedding! “My husband’s biological half-brother is a pastor and officiated our wedding.I wanted to incorporate little personal touches. My husband is covered in tattoos, so instead of a photo booth, we made a temporary tattoo station. A close childhood friend who tattoos for a living played temporary tattoo artist for the day. The tattoos were a huge hit for kids and adults alike.I love Beyonce and a good dance party, so to honor Queen Bey I asked my bride tribe to learn some choreography to surprise our wedding guests with and bought them each an iconic black wide-brim hat.” Q2: Let’s talk wedding decor “My husband and I are both in the Construction business, and art is a beloved hobby of mine. To add a personal touch to the ceremony, I had my husband break down, chop up, and put back together a palate for me so my bride tribe and I could paint it and adorn it with flowers. It turned out beautifully and made a great back drop for pictures.” Q3: What were the florals like in your wedding? “Peonies are my favorite (I’m cursed with expensive taste). Unfortunately they aren’t quite in season in August, so I settled for some classic roses for my bouquet and ceremony back drop, with a few fake peonies included.” Q4: What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding? “My sister has a beautiful voice. She sand and played a few songs on the piano for our cocktail hour. The band was spectacular. My family loves a good dance party, and the dance floor was packed the whole night.” Q5: Let’s talk fashion “I went with a backless A-line spaghetti-strap tulle wedding gown with beautiful beading. My husband wore a light grey tux, pink tie, and grey vest.” Q6: How did you meet? “We met working at a local restaurant. He proposed after a year of dating during a vacation to Yosemite National Park where I met his mom’s side of the family for the first time.” Q7: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day? “The first look was so exciting.”Gallery
