Beautiful Rainy Day Wedding at Tangelwood Plantation

Couple

Nikki & Matthew

Their Story

Photographer’s Comments: “Nikki and Mathew had quite an adventurous (and wet) wedding thanks to a rainstorm that decided to make its appearance about 10 minutes away from ceremony time! The winds were whipping, rain was pouring, gusts were huddled under tents, while a few brave people held umbrellas and huddled over the wedding cake to save it. It didn’t look promising, but Nikki and Matthew took it all in stride (did a few “anti-rain” dances and a few shots with the wedding party) and waited it out. “When there was a break in the rain, seats were quickly dried off, guests were seated and the wedding carried on (with umbrellas because it started raining again). It was a beautiful ceremony and with everyone was huddled under umbrellas, it brought a special feeling of closeness to it. Nikki and Matthew danced their first dance in the rain, which I thought was gorgeous because the lights from the flashes froze the drops in mid-air and it seemed almost magical. The rain did eventually stop and the rest of the festivities took place and the dance floor was packed all night. Minutes after the sparkler exit……the bottom dropped out again! “Nikki and Matthew’s wedding is a perfect example of an amazingly beautiful wedding that was NOT ruined by rain, but made even more beautiful by it….and no one will ever forget it.”
