Not every bride or bridesmaid is dressed in traditional white. With Autumn season in its infancy, we thought what a perfect time to showcase an ethereal and spiritual side to the eclipse weekend from this past August. Dramatic tidal flows, incredible sea life, and landscapes of the Oregon Coast highlight how a bride can still look classy and beautiful when deciding to be bold on her wedding day.
Their Story
“We captured this stylized shoot that I am officially calling “Eclipse Bride.” Located on the Oregon Coast we are blessed to have incredible rocky shorelines that expose incredible creatures including orange and purple starfish, anemones, crabs and mussels all of which inspired this stylized shoot.
“I wanted to push the envelope by using black dresses with orange accents. Florals are from a local florist who worked with me to find the perfect greenery and florals to mimic our sea life.
“An orange and black color palette (typically renowned for Halloween) is derived straight from the starfish and mussels themselves. The goal is to showcase how these two colors could be utilized in a modern, and beautiful way.
“An added bonus was our little pup Calypso who had a few moments in front of the camera as well. Our goal was to look classy and beautiful without looking Halloweenish. I hope you enjoy!”
