I had to share this simply country rustic wedding. I love when brides get creative and use what they have, especially when they integrate family heirlooms. Weddings are not always about buying new items or renting props. Try incorporating your grandmother’s jewellery, china sets or a vintage couch or two. Not only will it help with your budget, it is also a great conversation piece and a nice way to remember your loved ones who have passed on.
Bride’s Comments:
“Stuart and I are both southern! While I love to get all fancy and dressed up, I realized quickly that a dress with lots of bling, and a wedding venue with lots of glitz, was not me. I went with a very simple but elegant Casablanca dress. Our venue was an old brick barn, our ceremony was outside, and we put a simple country rustic touch on all of our details.

Special Touches:
“Bride’s bouquet – I was lucky enough to grow up with three of my great grandparents. I was very close to one of my great grandmothers and would visit with her and my great grandfather weekly. Growing up, every time I went over to their house, I would sit down in my great grandmother’s bathroom and get my make up done, and put on some of my grandma’s costume jewelry. I thought I looked so beautiful in my bright red lipstick and big chunky necklaces. When my great grandmother passed away, I inherited some of the jewelry and i decided to use all of the broaches together and make my bridal bouquet.

Groom’s wedding band
“My grandfather passed away a few months before the wedding, he was very special and dear to me. My grandfather’s wedding band was passed down to my fiance, as a special reminder and keep sake of him that we’ll be able to cherish forever.”

Who doesn’t love bubbles? I think this is the perfect way to make your grand exit and unlike rice, bubbles have the huge bonus of a clean free zone afterwards.
