Absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job by the creative team that put today’s feature together!! We can’t say enough about today’s styled 1920s wedding shoot, it really is the bee’s knees!

Love & Lavender’s own wedding was styled after a Great Gatsby theme. No wonder we fell in love with the photos below and that essence of 1920s glitz and glam that really shines through so prominently. You can really tell the thought and care that went into every detail — the stationery suite, the wonderful bridal fashion and menswear styling, upright piano along with vintage bar cart complete with crystal decanters — we just wish we could live in this creative world for a day!

Maybe one day soon we will get to relive the roaring 20s and feel a sense of that boisterous era of new dancing and dress styles, jazz, prohibition and speakeasies. Once VR really takes off and we all get to play out our fantasies … but that is a story for another article.

For now, we are content to swoon over today’s gold glitz and glam and hope you do too!

Their Story

Photographer’s Remarks: “This styled shoot was definitely a labor of love. Ashley Radosav of Ashley Nicole Events and I spent four months planning every detail to stay as true to the prohibition era as possible while giving it a modern flare so that brides and grooms would want to mimic this unique and sultry style. “The shoot took place at The Haight in downtown Elgin, a popular wedding venue known for it’s exposed brick and industrial appearance. Our colors were a metallic blend of gold, copper and silver with a hint of dark red.”
