Oregon Travel Themed Wedding: Claire and Ryan
I love when a wedding mirrors the bride and groom’s hobbies, interest, personality, etc. Claire and Ryan did exactly that in their Oregon travel themed wedding. Their love of traveling was very much apparent throughout their DIY wedding from decor to guest book!
Here is what their photographer Terra Rothman Photography said about the day:
“Claire and Ryan’s wedding was a beautiful DIY endeavor. Every vendor was a friend, a family member, or a friend of a friend. The wedding took place on the Wheeler’s Tree Farm in Oregon City. Nestled between evergreen trees and a view of Mount Hood, the couple was wed with unique and heartfelt vows.”
“The wedding had a travel theme, as Claire and Ryan are quite the experienced travelers, having already visited 16 countries together. Hoping to visit many more, their guest book was a large map in which guests posted stickers on their ideal destinations to visit, as well as a customs table where guests could write and stamp postcards for the couple.”
“Tables were designated by countries, with rustic elements of hand-cut wood cookie centerpieces and carefully selected wildflowers from a local farmers market. Vietnamese lanterns adorned the ceremony area. Family chef’s grilled meat for the dinner’s main course, while all other dishes were brought potluck style. Live music was performed by friends and the bride herself, and the officiant of the wedding was the groom’s best friend. Claire and Ryan stayed the night in the Wheeler’s treehouse, while guests camped on the farm. It was a charming and lovely event!”
