Backyard DIY Wedding with Vintage Touches

Last Updated: March 8th, 2021/3 CommentsTopic: REAL WEDDINGSby Meredith

As always we are blown away by another wedding photographed by Rosie of Simply Rosie Photography! Steven and Jaylene had a beautiful backyard DIY wedding that we just drooled over, seriously!

Photographer’s Comments: “This wedding was extra special since Jaylene is my niece! Ever since she was a little girl, she’s had a love for antiques and started collecting them at a very young age! So it was only fitting that her wedding was all DIY with vintage items used everywhere possible! The wedding was held at my sister’s place (Jaylene’s mom), they spent all summer landscaping, cleaning up, and planting tons of flowers. The setting was gorgeous and the weather was perfection!”

“Jaylene found this old shelving unit in their stinkin’ ole shack, painted it and we hauled it into the tent! We had family members bring various dessert dishes for the reception. All the cupcakes were baked and decorated by the bridesmaids! Mother of the bride (my lovely sister) is extremely talented with wood working. She created these beautiful cupcakes trays! Jaylene made all the little signs and I penned in all the different desserts. I loved the colorful dessert dishes that my friend Jessie from One Plus One Design lent us for the wedding. It added a wonderful splash of color! Needless to say the display was a huge attraction and was admired by many! Oh and of course it was delicious!”
