Although Labor Day has long since passed, there are definitely some brides-to-be out there planning for their big labor day weekend wedding! Today’s shoot is a quintessential representation of what every homespun backyard, DIY, wedding should entail. I love how it is filled with so many amazing mismatched details. The styled rustic touches with vintage pieces work so well alongside the red, white, and blue color scheme.
Their Story
Comments from the designer: “My inspirational for this styled shoot was to include a mix of Modern and Americana details and design it around having a backyard Labor Day wedding. The colors for the shoot represented a bit of the Americana flag colors and included wine red, slate blue and ivory.
“The attire for the bride was a mix of blue suede modern heels and an ivory lace wedding gown with vintage jewelry. The bridesmaid wore a baby blue lace dress, the groom and best man wore bow ties because who doesn’t love bow ties especially in a rustic wedding.
“For the table design we went for a rustic farm table feel and used both a mix of bench seating as well as chairs. For the tablescape we used a colorful flower table runner, that included primitive red, white and blue colors. The tableware setting was a mix of modern and vintage glassware with a mix of vintage and modern china.
“The main focal point of the table was the yummy berry pies, because no Americana wedding is complete without pies!”
