Styled Woodland Winter Wedding in North Carolina
We hope you all had a fantastic Valentine’s Day! We know winter is coming to an end (woohoo), but we thought we would share a beautiful styled winter wedding shoot that had us from the first picture. Winter weddings can seem cold and ugly, but this shoot proves how intimate, warm, and beautiful the gray winter really can be!
The ceremony is perfect! The mismatched chairs, fireplace mantle backdrop and open field make setting so cozy and romantic!
Here is what Kaitlin of Simply Put Vintage Rentals said: “The inspiration for this styled photo shoot started with a chilly grey day. For a person who loves the color grey, the more I looked around the more I noticed the colors that seemed to come alive against a muted sky. The gold hues of the foxtail seedheads found in the field across from my house, the soft white and grey of the cotton fields that line North Carolina roads, the dusty blue found in berries, and the richness of brown hues found in a stack of firewood behind the house.”
“We incorporated natural elements as well as vintage pieces like herb bottles, cheese boxes, and a mantle, that would make anyone feel as if we had invited them inside a home, which just so happened to be a barn. The woodland creatures spray painted in gold were hidden all over the barn, in between stacks of books and in centerpieces, for a touch of whimsy. We wanted to create a comfy, woodsy, romantic environment to capture all the beauty and richness of a grey winter day.”
