Whimsical Tennessee Wedding with Pumpkins
We are starting this week off with a whimsical Tennessee wedding that got our hearts pitter-pattering a little faster. Tessa and Marshall’s wedding was full of eye catching details like silhouette themed programs, pumpkins at the ceremony, and a customized wedding bingo game!
Here is what Sara Kristen Photography had to say about the wedding day:
“Because they had dated at college in Tennessee and it had been away from family and friends, when it came time to come up with the theme- they decided on ‘A Love Story’ so they could take the opportunity to share their story with extended family and old friends that meant so much to them, but who might not have been able to get to know their significant other very well due to the distance.
“Tessa is an avid reader and loves vintage books which went along perfectly with the ‘Love Story’ idea. It was important that little details throughout the event reflected parts of their story and who they were. Marshall loves the outdoors and the city where they fell in love, so it was quickly decided that they wanted to find a place near where they met, which could also serve as a halfway point for the two families to travel to. Family is important to the laid back couple and the thought behind everything was that it would be comfortable and intimate. A time for everyone they love to share the day with them.”

Meredith
Despite her dreamy wedding blogger lifestyle, Meredith's day job is running ClassicVeils.com and a full-time mom to an active toddler. If she could, Meredith would spend her days taking cruises, helping animals in need, and watching Big Brother!
Love love love these photos and this couple!
I think every detail is just perfect! I love the vintage doors and colorful arrangements hanging from them. Such a fun wedding!
I just love those silhouettes!
Those silhouettes were on the programs & invites as well. The couple wanted it to look like an old book- in fact their invites were made to look like little books and the last page was a tear-off postcard. The designer is Jenn Lane- she is amazing.

This is a gorgeous wedding. All the details are so well put together! Amazing!
That was such a fun day! Tessa and Marshall are just the sweetest couple and their wedding really reflected who they are as a couple– I think that’s just perfect when that happens.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a fall afternoon on top of a mountain with the city below. What helped made the day so lovely (besides the people of course) were the little touches like the bingo game, the kids pack (full of little trinkets for little guests) and the hooray flags. Paula Bell from Paper Girl (in Tulsa where the bride is originally from) designed those and they were such a hit for the send-off. We couldn’t use flowers or seeds on the property, but these made for much better photos and the guests got to keep a little souvenir.
The couple’s wedding video also gives a great overview of all the design elements.
