Vintage Carnival Themed Wedding Fun!
This carnival theme is an eclectic fun wedding and is the perfect way to end the week. I love all the details Pilar and Neil put into their special day – from crackerjack favors to the mismatched ceremony seating.
From Emilia of Sweet Emilia Jane:
“For Pilar and Neil, I really wanted to help them create a wedding that was super personal, sweet and elegant. Pilar loved the idea of having a more rustic, eclectic, vintage-inspired look and The Ranch House at Calamigos in Malibu definitely lent itself to that vision. Dining under the big tree there is so romantic and intimate and I wanted to bring that feeling into every detail.
“For the ceremony we brought together an assortment of vintage chairs and benches plus a rug runner down the aisle and the result was so cozy and sweet. Guests filled out library cards (a nod to Pilar’s day job as a school principal) and ate cracker jacks (a la baseball-style – Neil’s favorite sport) during the cocktail hour.”
“The reception was the perfect blend of vintage, rustic and elegance with gold chargers, stunning centerpieces in mismatched tea and coffee tins, some of Pilar and Neil’s favorite books and the most adorable vintage salt and pepper shakers that we found at flea markets and thrift stores. Some of my favorite elements might be the black and white family portraits that we hung around the reception area and the vintage lounge area. The cake and dessert bar were definitely the show stoppers. Sweet and Saucy did it again with a beautiful, lace-detailed cake which looked adorable against the book page and lace backdrop we made. It was a magical night with loads of details and tons of fun!”
