Wedding Guide Essentials: Drink Dispenser Ideas to Stay Cool
In this article, I thought it would be fun to put together a roundup collection of drink dispenser ideas taken from real weddings and styled shoots.
For my own wedding, I thought about actually buying a few drink dispensers. I know that when it comes to purchasing wedding decor, there may not be too many useful items for after the big day. Many items find their way back to a rental company, some stuff winds up at the thrift store or a box in the garage, and if you’re lucky a few items can be sold online or locally in order to recoup cash.
One Time Use or Good Investment?
If there was ever an item to buy and use again in the future, it would surely be a beverage drink dispenser — or two!
I envision using a really nice one at a backyard engagement party, for a wedding, or at several big family gatherings. Outdoor weddings benefit greatly from having a hydration station, especially in the hot summer heat. After the wedding, the dispensers can then be used for future social gatherings.
A dual purpose item for your wedding that can also be used again afterwards is a must- have item in my books.
Some would argue that buying a drink dispenser is a waist — it would sit in the garage and collect dust for years before finally being sold in a yard sale. Maybe that is true if you live in a cold climate like the North Pole. I think that most people would be able to find a summer excuse (ahem, party time) to pull out the ol’ dispenser and pour a nice bevvy to treat guests.
Drink Dispenser Styles
Whether your hosting a rustic backyard wedding, garden party, a fancy soiree, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner BBQ, or even a morning-after brunch, there are so many great uses for having drink dispensers around.
Pick the right drink dispenser style in order to match the wedding aesthetic you are trying to achieve. Most units will be made from solid glass material, while the base stand can be fabricated from metal, plastic, tin, or even a wicker basket.
Drink Dispensers for a Backyard Wedding
A quintessential part of a backyard bash has got to be a beverage station. Let your guests serve themselves and cool down just before the ceremony. Serve non-alcoholic beverages like delicious and colorful raspberry lemonades, iced teas, punch and/or sangria. Make sure to offer plenty of H2O as well!

13) Classic Glass Drink Dispenser
by Pottery Barn
I loved watching an old show called Hart of Dixie — especially the episodes that featured a wedding! I re-watched a few episodes because I always loved one of the main character’s (Mayor Levon Hayes) beautiful kitchen and design. He always seemed to have copious amounts of pancakes, lovely cakes on white cake stands, colorful fruit bowls, danishes and donuts platters, and my favorite apothecary jars brimming with candy!
In addition, besides freshly squeezed orange juice and carafes of hot coffee, he always had two beautiful drink dispensers in the background with colorful looking drinks to keep Zoey, Wade, and Annabeth at bay.
Love the look of this kitchen, especially during the summertime!

Final Thoughts
An added benefit of purchasing drink dispensers to have on hand is that you can make beverages a few days in advance of your wedding. A recipe like sangria can be prepared in advance, left stored in the dispenser in a cool place, so that it is fresh and ready for the big day.
I hope my guide to wedding drink dispenser ideas has inspired your wedding decor and (in the words of Kevin kevin McCallister) has you thirsty for more!
Meredith
Despite her dreamy wedding blogger lifestyle, Meredith's day job is running ClassicVeils.com and a full-time mom to an active toddler. If she could, Meredith would spend her days taking cruises, helping animals in need, and watching Big Brother!
I love seeing the variety of styles you have listed. How many dispensers would you have for a wedding with 130 guests. They would be for water, lemonade, and iced coffee. Other cocktails and beer will be available
