Wedding Story & Gallery

How did you meet?

“We meet at A and W Restaurant. Since A and W has its signature onion rings, we decided to hastags our wedding, ‘ONION RINGS TO WEDDING RINGS’

What is your engagement story?

“Nayef is not an outdoorsy kind of guy and he never goes for hikes. I always go out with my friends when it comes to outdoor activities. On the second week of June 2016, he insisted on hiking to Joffre Lake. I thought he was just saying this as a joke, but to my surprise he was serious. Once we got to the mountain he proposed, and that’s the beginning of our engagement journey.”

Wedding theme and colours

“White, Gold and Shades of Pink. We wanted to have an elegant, timeless and romantic ambiance and we believe these colors brought out what we are looking for.”

Describe the top 3 best moments

  1. Ceremony – “Walking down the aisle. Nayef and I have been together for 10 years, so seeing him on the other side of the aisle brought out so many emotions.”
  2. Reception Grand Entrance – “EPIC! I saw the raw videos of our grand entrance and it was just WOW.  Our guests told us that it was unforgettable.”
  3. Wedding Shoe Game – “It was FUN as it allowed our guests to get to know us better. When our MCs were gathering questions, we told them not to tell us any of the questions, so there will be the element of surprise at the reception.”

Describe your top 3 favourite wedding details

  • Sign in Table – “Our decorator did an awesome job on this. Everything was perfect and the details were on point.”
  • Flowers – “I knew I always wanted shades of white for my bridal bouquet. To make decision easier, I went with orchids because I was named after an orchid flower. For my bridesmaids’ bouquet, I wanted the color of the flowers coordinate with the color of their dresses but still adding the frosted leaves to have that extra POP.”
  • Dance Floor – “We knew we will spend most of our time on the dancefloor, so we wanted the dancefloor to look great. The dancefloor also help impact the overall look of the decorations.”

Wedding song

“We dedicated some of our time looking for the perfect song for each of our wedding program. We used Westernize, Arabic and Filipino music, and hired a drummer to spice up the music and help crowd energize.”
