Bride’s Comments:

“We met three years ago through mutual friends in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We instantly hit it off and became very good friends. We enjoyed each other’s company and before we knew it we were inseparable. We could finish each other’s sentences and we even joked about how we were each other’s missing puzzle piece in life. It’s rare to find a love like this and this is how we both knew we were meant for each other.

“He proposed to me on March 25, 2017 at 7 am at the Trocadero in Paris, France which is right in front of the Eiffel Tower. How he got me to travel all the way across the world for the proposal is by telling me that he had a business conference and wished that I would go with him. I though why not. I have never been to France; it would be amazing to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and everything in France!

“How he got me to wake up at 5 am and get there at 7 fully dressed? Well he told me that we must attend the breakfast meet and greet. Since we didn’t know the area, he said he must leave early so we can get there on time. I believed everything he said.

“Once we got to the square walking towards to see the Eiffel Tower, I turned around and saw him on his knee. It was a total surprise. Everything was just perfect: the sunrise, the weather, and of course my Adam. He took my breath away.

Destination Wedding in France

“We knew we wanted a destination wedding so that our family and friends can also make a vacation out of it. It made sense for us to pick France since we got engaged in Paris. Once we narrowed down to the country, we started looking at venues that are close to the beach.

“When we saw Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat, we fell in love with the venue instantly. The place is timeless, classy and so beautiful. Everything that I have envisioned; the trees, the garden, the light house, and the view of the Mediterranean Sea had come to life when I saw this venue.

Wedding Day

“I think the most important thing for me on my wedding day was that I wanted everyone to have a good time. I wanted everyone to enjoy the food, the music, and have a blast. I envisioned my wedding day to be very intimate which it was. It was just only immediate family and close friends.

“The style of wedding that I have envisioned was timeless, classic, and elegance which was the reason we wanted our guests to be in black tie attire and the reason we picked this venue.

“Flowers was a big part of the wedding. There were a lot of different assortments of white flowers. We even had our wedding arch made with white flowers.

“Chandeliers and candles were also seen everywhere which was exactly I have envisioned. Our wedding decorator did an amazing job. Everything was very detailed-oriented and beautiful. Other than the beautiful decorations, the food and the drinks were amazing!!

“Adam and I are foodies so having good food and drinks are very important to us. So we made sure that the canapes and the dinner menu was on point. Since we had a very small wedding, we were able to have our guests pick whatever they want to eat from the menu instead of the traditional wedding menu where you can only pick either beef, chicken, fish or vegetables. Our menu included five courses.

“Our wedding cake was 5 layers about 48 inches tall. We wanted our family and friends to have the best wedding food they will have in their lives and I think we’ve accomplished that.

Fashion

“Finding my dress was fairly easy. I didn’t stress so much about it. At first, I went to Dallas, Texas to find it but eventually I found it in Albuquerque. The dress was Vera Wang and who doesn’t love Vera Wang. It’s a classic!! What I love about my dress is that it is simple but with a flare on the bottom. It had a rose in the front and a rose in the back with a train which reminded me of the song La Vie En Rose. It screams French!! ?

My favorite moment during the wedding day was to see Adam cry while reciting his vows.

“Our advice:  Enjoy your wedding day because time will go by so fast. Before you know it, it’s already done. Also have someone to save you some food during the cocktail hour. Because during this time you’re taking pictures and will not have time to enjoy the delicious canapes. You will regret it so make sure you have someone to save one of each canapés so YOU don’t miss out on the canapes that you specifically picked out for your guests and you! If you’re a foodie, you will want to do this.

“Our original plan was to go on our honeymoon in February when I have a break from graduate school to either Bora Bora or Maldives. However, we got pregnant on our wedding night so instead of just honeymoon, it would be a honeymoon/babymoon!”
