On August 13, 2026, a quintessentially Hamptons love story entered a new chapter as Eric Viner and Jordan Scott Wise gathered with their families for an intimate day that was equal parts personal, romantic, and unmistakably East End. Ahead of their larger wedding celebration in Lake Como, Italy, the couple chose to make their marriage official in Southampton—a decision that felt less like a choice than an inevitability. For Eric and Jordan, the Hamptons has become one of the defining places in their relationship.

Eric, a Palm Beach native and Spotlight Magazine contributor, has been coming to the Hamptons for more than a decade. A graduate of Florida State University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Business, he works across the luxury sector and is deeply involved in the worlds of arts, culture, and philanthropy. He first introduced Jordan, a North Carolina native and anesthesiologist at Mount Sinai in New York City, to the East End in 2024. Jordan fell for it immediately. What had long been a special place for Eric soon became theirs—a retreat from the energy of Manhattan where weekends unfold at a gentler pace, days are spent near the water, and time together feels wonderfully unhurried.

Over the years, the Hamptons has become a backdrop to some of the couple’s most treasured memories and traditions. It represents an escape, certainly, but also something deeper: a place of familiarity, calm, and connection. So when the question arose of where they would legally marry before celebrating in Italy, the answer was immediate. It had to be the Hamptons.

The wedding day embraced that spirit from the start. Eric surprised Jordan with a Moke for the drive into Southampton, turning even the trip to Town Hall into part of the occasion. With their families beside them, Jordan Scott Wise and Eric Viner were married in a private civil ceremony at the Southampton Town Clerk’s Office, officiated by Town Clerk Sundy A. Schermeyer. Intimate and unfussy, the ceremony reflected exactly what the couple wanted the day to be: meaningful, personal, and centered on the people closest to them.

After saying “I do,” the newlyweds slipped back into the Moke and headed toward Gin Lane Beach, their favorite beach in the Hamptons. There, against the timeless backdrop of the Atlantic, Eric and Jordan took their first walk on the beach as a married couple. It was a quiet counterpoint to the significance of the day—a few moments alone by the ocean in a place that had already witnessed so much of their life together.

Two days later, on Saturday, August 15, the celebration continued at the couple’s Water Mill residence, where close friends and family gathered for an intimate garden party. At home and surrounded by the people they love most, Eric and Jordan toasted their new marriage in the setting that has come to mean so much to them. The weekend was a celebration not only of their marriage, but of the Hamptons itself—and of the sense of home they have found there together.
